How to Walk When It Is Snowy and Icy

Some helpful advice from the ducks in the north to the folk further south unaccustomed to snow and ice, but about to get some more:

The Mallards along the Whetstone are happy to share their knowledge about how to walk on snowy and icy walkways..

... and keep a low center of gravity.

Awesome pictures - and quite a timely post for me! I went down a slippery slope myself today, and have a large rip in my pants to prove it! Good thing I was wearing two pairs of pants! I feel better knowing even graceful birds sometimes end up sliding!

I love the speed-skating pose of the drake in the last shot! Stay warm up there!

Great pictures. Looks like an old man walking to his car across the ice at the store.

We could all learn from these fellows Chris. Low centre of gravity...would heavier boots help?
