Hi Chris, I came to your blog from another one I read - The Early Birder blog - and these are some great bird shots. I am always watching birds at our feeders, but they fly off as soon as the back door opens. Still I try often for shots when I'm outdoors. Lately, I've been photographing flowers, insects and whatever else catches my interest. I plan to return often to your blog. And we are hoping to drive through New England this fall to see the colors -- first time. Please feel free to visit our blog... thefrogandpenguinn.blogspot.com
Great shots Chris! Isn't it funny how the young ones eat on their own yet still require some extra attention from mom and dad? I noticed the woodpecker babies were like that too.

Stunning! Your close-ups are spectacular and I love the posture and expression of the goldfinch!
We haven't seen Evening Grosbeaks here in years. One more reason to move to Vermont...(but the loons had me already!)
Lovely post and great images. I have a new blog myself BirdGalAlcatraz here on blogger. May I put you on my blog roll?
Great photos! I only saw Evening Grosbeaks once in my life.I hope I get the chance again.
