Amberwing and Green Darner

Along the Connecticut River 3 weeks ago, I managed a blurry photo of the Eastern Amberwing (Perithimis tenera, 0.9") as it patrolled its patch of lily pads.
In the butterfly garden at Heinz refuge, this tiny skimmer came to rest close by ...

At the other end of the size-scale for dragonflies, a Common Green Darner - female (Anax junius, 3.0") - stunning!
