Northern Cardinal - fledgling begging |
I was unable to get to Putney Mountain today. But yesterday, a young Red-tailed Hawk showed its prowess when it tucked its wings and dove below the ridge. Shortly after, it circled over the valley, carrying the fruits of a success hunt. When not being buzzed by a Sharp-shinned Hawk, it fed on the wing.

Great pictures. The Red-tailed appears to be eating as it is flying away. Great captures.
Nice Buzzard pic!
Saludos.
Fascinant de vérité!
Great catch on those cardinals! Such a beautiful red.
Great pictures Chris.
So cardinals are still parenting -- I thought that time had passed. Everyone of your shots are fantastic. The hawk feeding on the wing is incredible.
